Cask Ales from Grumpy’s Cellar 10 February

on-the-bar-2

With the Six Nations now in flow, we had to have this lovely ruby ale from Wadsworth this week as a guest ale, along with Salvation from Charnwood Brewery.

Our staples of Bass and “Grumpy Landlord” are available too.

Dirty Rucker from Wadworth ABV 3.9% –  A bold English Bitter.  Fruity on the palate and a malty sweetness leads to a peppery note for a smooth finish.

Salvation from Charnwood  ABV 3.8% –  A light refreshing golden beer, with tropical fruit, citrus, and floral flavours. American Cascade and Amarillo hops create a citrus aroma, and crisp clean bitterness on the finish.

Grumpy Landlord from Ushers ABV 3.6%  –  A deep, golden coloured bitter with a citric and earthy hop aroma and flavour with caramel malt notes.

Bass Premium Ale  4.4%ABV –  It is richly fragrant with a hoppy bouquet and has a complex nutty, malty taste and a bright chestnut hue.
